Beetroot - Original Painting

This painting is part of a larger collection of my works titled 'Vegetables en Vogue', a series from 2012.

Inspired by all the vegetables I worked with on a daily basis at a raw vegan cafe, I fell in love with their colours and textures and how an everyday veggie could transform itself into an incredible dish.

The foundation of this painting is made up from the pages of an old cookbook!

Mediums: Acrylic paint, oil pastel, artists pencils, mixed medium and varnish on an mdf canvas.
